Question about 2000 Dodge Durango
I milled the heads and put on a new timing chain then when done it willnot start i think it fired a few times. MAYBE the cam sensor was defective the place i got the chain set said some people complained theirs did not start. I am going tear it back down put the old cam sprocket on then see if it starts if not i have no idea ?
email@example.com it was running when i tore it down but the heads were warped and timing chain bad
I purchased a new timing chain set and the cam pickup was bad on the new cam gear and we had a no start problem. i took the valve covers back off put the old gear on the cam and it started. BUT be careful if u do that you have to wedge the timing chains apart before you remove that gear so the hyd adjusters do not over expand. 4.7 dodge engines **** BIg they made them trying to save gas but the parts and repair over-ride any gas saving i got.
