White tail smoke, both temp gauges (oil/engine)

98 audi a4 146,000k. after 45 min of 50-60 mph on highway, then freeway, up to 80 mph for only about 5 miles. both temp gauges(oil/engine) were normal. not so sure about the 'foamy' oil, bucked once and instant power loss, white tail smoke. loud raggety sound from engine compartment. popping exhaust like, not clanking or rattling. no fluid loss under car. head gasket?

Alright there your on the money there. A4 audi's and The 2liter golfs do haed gaskets at around 145-150,000 miles. the oil's foamy kinda yellowie cream. Tip for ya When you do the head gasket cahnge the rad and water pump at the same time. Mine didthe same it's costly but worth it for piece of mind, Plus is the only time you get to the water pump apart from changing the timing belt.

I have a Buick regal super charged 98 and it starts to smoke after about 10 mins of driving from the hood white smoke and light smoke from the tail pipe also white it says change oil and service engine

It sounds like you may have a leaking engine head gasket as it is a VERY expensive repair if that is the problem I strongly recommend you have it confirmed by a local dealer.

My car only spool's white smoke at speeds over 55 MPH.

If the engine oil level goes down slowly ( when you check every 2 weeks or so ) and If you check the plugs and see sign of oil in any, shows a problem with piston rings in a cylinder. The white smoke (it can be black too ) you see from the tail pipe is a sign of engine burning engine oil. Hope it helps. Best

Engine smoking

If smoke is sweet smelling and alot of moisture drips out of tail pipe, it is probably engine coolant.Check for coolant loss.
