SOURCE: Removing Headlight assembly

There is a small hex headed fastener behind the headlight, oriented vertically. Loosen this and remove it, it is long and passes through the body of the light housing to threads below. You then pull the headlight housing forward, its still held in place by several friction fasteners so it may take a little force but it will "pop" off and then when you're through you'll have to "pop" in back in.

SOURCE: 2008 Ford Fusion Wing Mirror Replacement

I checked Ford Focus mirror replacement and it seems to be the same. This is for the manual, unheated mirror.

Remove the mirror cover inside the door - slide a screwdriver behind the cover and pry loose carefully.

Remove the single 10mm bolt and the mirror comes free.
NB. Do not drop the bolt into the door.

SOURCE: 2008 buick lecerne headlight replace

Buick says that the front bumper has to be removed in order to remove the headlight assembly. Crazy, I know.. I found that you can remove the air filter box on the drivers side and squeeze your hand in a small hole to replace that bulb. The passanger side is nearly impossible. You can remove to nuts holding the fuse block in place and move it over a little and squeeze your hand in a little hole and reach it. Plan on two to three hours to change one bulb.

How do i remove headlight assembly on 1994 ford taurus?

I believe that on the 90's Taurus you need to remove the headlight housing to change the bulb. There are 3 or 4 screws or nuts that must be removed from the back side. Use a 10 mm socket or wrench. The housing can be pulled forward, away from the car body. Disconnect the wires and/or remove the bulbs.

How to Replace a Headlight Bulb in a Ford Taurus

The Ford Taurus has one of thelongest production histories of any of Ford's mid- cars. You should check that the headlightson your Ford Taurus are working properly on a regular basis. When one of theheadlight bulbs burn out, replacing it is a simple repair you can performyourself. These steps apply only to the fourth generation Ford Taurus producedafter 2000.

1. Turn off your Ford Taurus, engage the parking brake and remove the keys fromthe ignition before beginning any repairs. Ensure that the headlights are offby double-checking you turned the interior control completely to the offposition. 2. Raise the hood by firstpulling up on the interior hood release latch located under the instrumentpanel on the left of the steering column. Walk around to the front of the car and release the auxiliary latchlocated at the front center of the hood. Raise the hood until the liftcylinders catch and hold the hood open on its own. 3. Unscrew the bolt from theheadlamp assembly by turning it counterclockwise. Use a screwdriver or pliersto pry up the retaining pins enough that you can pull them straight up and outwith either your hands or a pair of pliers. These pins are located at the backof the headlight assembly. 4. Pull the headlight assembly out from the front of the vehicle. Remove the protective dust shieldfrom the electrical connector and bulb assembly by turning it counterclockwiseand pulling it off. 5. Free the bulb assembly by disconnecting the electricalconnector and retaining ring. You can simply pull off the connector to removeit. The retaining ring requires a counterclockwise turn for removal. 6. Take out the old headlight bulb by pulling it straightout from the headlight assembly. 7. Install a new replacement bulb by pushing it straightin with the flat part of the bulb's base facing upward. Be sure that thegrooves in the plastic base of the bulb align properly with those in theheadlight assembly. 8. Reinstall the remaining components of the headlightassembly in reverse order of removal and check that the headlights are workingproperly. How do you remove the head lamp assembly on a 1993

1. Make sure headlamp is off and open hood.
2. Taurus model years 1990-1999: you must remove the whole headlamp to replace the bulb. Not a horrible task. Just annoying.
3. Facing the driver's side headlamp, and looking at the headlamp itself, at clock positions 8, 11 and 1 are the headlight housing screws. They all look the same. Using a 10mm socket wrench, remove these 3 screws and set them aside.
4. Just to the right of the "11 o'clock" housing screw is a bolt (same hexagonal 10mm sized top as the housing screws). This just needs a few turns to loosen it.
5. Gently pull the whole headlight forward. Now you can get at the bulb.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb. Now the headlamp is free to work with. Remove the bulb, replace with a new bulb, make sure the bulb housing cylinder is in place and reconnect the electical.
7. Place headlamp back into position. Line up screw holes. Tighten the bolt. Replace housing screws and tighten.
8. Passenger side headlamp is mirror image of driver's side. Screws at 11, 1 and 4 o'clock positions. Bolt should be to the left of the "1 o'clock" housing screw.

There are no screws need to be removed from the headlight bezel as the lamp need be only removed from the rear. On the rear of the headlight unplug the wiring harness, then turn the big hand screw /catch only 1/4 turn and pull out the socket and lamp straight out. then replace the burnt lamp and do the reverse of which you did to get it out.
