Replace the fuse in the fuse panel drivers side dash. Could also have blown a relay swith, under hood. Check battery post connection. Clean if neccessary. Do you have any power at all?

While working on the driver's side you were working near the fuse box.. You may have bumped a wire loose.

I have a 97 sunfire, runs fine and then all of a sudden it will quit. If you wait for 5 min it will restart and run maybe for 20 miles or 3 days. Any suggestion of the problem?

fuel pump is the first thing i would check next time it stops. get a funnel and stick it in your filler where you put in gas. make sure it is quiet around you and have someone turn on the key. if you hear a noise like a motor run then cut off your fuel pump is working. if not, replace the fuel pump.

I own a 97 mercury villager an just won't start

I have a 98 model.
Someone will have to figure out if you are dealing with a no spark or no fuel problem when it won't start.
Could be a long list of causes depending on which issue.

97 chevy blazer w/ 4.3 won't start unless i pour full directly into it....what is causing this. was driving and it just stalled ...fires but won't turn over completely

if you can put fuel in throttle body and it runs. then it is not getting any fuel. check your fuel pump fuse and the relay, if ok, then you may have a bad fuel pump or a plugged up fuel filter. check filter and fuses first. good-day !!

Ok I have seen tons of posts about this issue with the Pontiac Sunfire, but no clear solution. I have a 2001 Sunfire the yesterday the Day Running Lights quit working. My passenger side head light will...

First check the R/S headlight fuse in the dash fuse panel (left side), second make sure the R/S low beam headlight bulb filament isn't blown, both these scenarios will do what you are saying. The DRL's work when both low beam lights are in series, thus only 6v going to each bulb at reduced brilliance. The high beam is a totally separate circuit controlled by the multifunction switch. The DRL relay is controlled by the Body Control Module, grounded there, and it will also illuminate the service vehicle soon light. It could also be a bad ground at G204. Its on the steering column support bracket.

I just had this problem with a Sunfire that had the 2.2...I found the timing chain tensioner broke apart and not the car out of time.If it is the tensioner you will probably want to drop the oil pan and make sure there are not and particles of the tensioner in there.
