Before removing your factory alarm call a locksmith and ask him if can reprogram your car key. Is must likely your car computer no longer recognize your key I know this sounds weird but must cars this days have a chip on the key it self whit the car vin number and some other information. Is an antitheft feature. If the computer do not recognize your key it wont let you start the car even if you are able to turn the key.

If the alarm system has a battery remove it otherwise removing the car battery for a while may reset it. In emergency contact your local toyota dealers mechanics department and they may be able to help you at no cost.

My mom has a 1995 Toyota Camry and she is having issues with the car starting because of intereference of the alarm system. How can she disable the alarm at home. The dealer wanted $200-$300 to fix the...

This all depends on if this is a factory installed alarm that came with the car from the dealer or if its after market, in both causes some wiring will be needed. she will need to locate the alarm module under the dash on the driverside and disable it by unplugging it, when this is done the alarm is now deatactivated and the car will not start, the next step is to remove the steerind column covers but first look at wiring coming from the column. this wiring will be for steering controls and ignition switch, she will need to locate the starter wire this wire will be cut in half and run into alarm system she will need to conect wire back and that will solve the problem

Yes! but you will need to remove the door panel and remove the alarm harness on the back of the lock cylinder. Once removed you will need to manipulate the harness to make the car think you unlock the car with a key.
