Got to autozone.com and click do it yourself tab enter in vehicle info and it will give you detailed instructions but I suggest buying a haynes or chiltons repair manual if you plan to work on your car it has pretty much everything you need to know runs about $25.00 at local parts store

It should be pretty easy....there isnt much about the alternator.....just the bolts that hold it on the engine and a couple of wires that go to it....and from it......

"if you cant find a manual...just look at the at the alternator...and at the wires....then make your selves a diagram.....unbolt the old one and get the new one on........

when re wiring make shure you put them wires were they belong...you know ground to engine and ect.....

get the serpentine belt back on and test it......

have you replaced the battery? the car draws it's electricity from the battery, then the alternator replaces the charge to the battery. if the battery is shot and will no longer hold a charge the car will not stay running once you remove the charge as in removing the jumper cables

Go to any Advance or Autozone Store and buy the Chiltons Manual for your vehicle. They are around 19.99 and this will have every repair that you will ever need to repair anything on your car. I love theses books. They have pictures and step by step instructions. Hope this helps.
