Have 2000 explorer need to replace brake light can you give me the bulb number and where to get it.

    it's in your owner manual. you can buy at Autozone, Kmart, etc.

Make sure you are using the correct bulb numbers per manufactures recommendation. Diff types of bulbs even though they fit and light up will give light monitor false readings. You may have a malfunctioning light monitor which I have seen on a few of these models.

My brake lights will not function on my 2000 grand caravan.All of the bulbs are new my rear lights work my reverse lights work but my brake lights will not


The bulbs could still be the problem since they are double filament bulbs.If your high brake light work but not the low ones the replace the bulbs.If none in the rear work then you may need a brake light switch(on the brake pedal linkage).If this is not the case the check for power to the brake light side of the bulb and repair the broken brake light wire.

Brake light goes out when headlights are turned


there a e few different bulbs that look the same but are in fact different. go to your local parts store and they will be able to give you the correct bulb part number for the bulb. check that first to see if that helps.

I just Know that you replaced the bulb ,try a test lite ,make shure it's grounded well poke inside the socket for the bulb this metal socket gives the bulb both electric and a ground ,this is the problem,good luck.

Most Ford Explorers sometimes have a electrical problem, you can replace bulb if that don''t work try to move the wires around, and find out if it is wiring if so either take it to get wire harness replaced or u can test new bulbs

Can anyone tell me what # fuse it is for the brake lights? I changed the bulbs but they keep blowing.


fuse 13, 20 amp yellow.

  • The Stoplamps Are Inoperative
  • Fuse(s).
  • Brake pedal position (BPP) switch.
  • Circuitry.
  • Lamp outage module (if equipped).
  • GO to Pinpoint Test J .
  • One or More Stoplamps Are Inoperative
  • Stoplamp bulb.
  • Circuitry.
  • GO to Pinpoint Test K .
  • The Stoplamps Are On Continuously
  • BPP switch.
  • REPLACE the brake pedal position (BPP) switch.

Brake lights


try replacing the bulbs as they are double bulbs and if one side of the bulb is blown the other still works which would give you your current symptoms if you need further assistance please let me know
