Either a multifunction switch, or a body control module problem. Possibly the flasher itself.

Where the hell is the turn signal flasher located on a dodge Dakota 2005

Does not have one. It uses the instrument cluster and the integrated power module to run signals and generate indicator noise.

1995 Dodge Dakota signal light and brake lights quit

I had the same problem that the brake light / turn signal on the right side didn't work (in the 2006 Dodge Caravan it's the same bulb). After a long search I found the problem: There was corrosion on the contact of the bulb assembly. After scraping off the corrosion everything works now.

I have a 2000 dodge dakota quad cab (4.7L / V*). My check engine light kept coming on after tightening the loose gas cap. I purchases a new gas cap specifically for my truck and the light came on again...

Check that there are no other leaks in the gas filler neck or gas tank itself that would cause the gas cap error to cause the check engine light to go on.

A lack of pressure in the tank can cause the check engine light to go on, erroneously signalling that the gas cap is loose or missing.

Good luck on this repair.

Why would my turn signals just stop working?

If both your signals stopped working, check your "electronic flasher module" located under the dash near the steering column (it will be labeled) most likely the unit is faulty
