No leaks, its just when we start the Vehicle it wont go into Drive. the gear selector is stuck. Believe some safety device is failing. tranny is fine once your able to move gear selector

    Thanks

Fluids are fine tranny is fine. it is when we start the vehicle gear selector is locked into park and wont move, not sure if its a safety belt sensor or apply brake sensor but after a few min gear selector finally releases and is able to go into drive.

Check the brake lights and see if they work when this problem happens, U may have a problem with the Park lock system, this locks the gear shift out until the brake pedal is pushed, then a electric solenoid releases a pin and allows u to come out of park, if the brake lights check ok then the solenoid may be sticking at times. Does this sound more like your problem?

Check linkage at transmission. Cable end may have popped off ball fitting. Just snap it back on .it will pop off sometimes if you shift it hard . Hope this helps

I have a 2005 Chevy Uplander, and when driving on the highway at about 60-65, the van occasionally drops RPM's and when you press the gas harder, it recovers without any jerking or anything. The same...

This is a rare one and can be tricky. Since your rpm gauge rises back up when you increase your acceleration slightly but you feel no jerking of acceleration then this tells me that a speed/rpm senser either has a bad connecton or the sensor itself is going bad when the engine reaches an optimum heat while driveing on the highway. Since you feel no acceleration when you slightly press the accelerator down but yet the rpm gauge is increasing back to normal, the throttle body sensor may be compensating for the failed speed sensor/failed sensor connector. Please get your uplander diagnosed properly first to confim this.

AB Light Keeps Going On

software? sounds like a bad wheel sensor, have the abs computer scaned for history codes to find the problem. most of the time its a abs wheel sensor that looses contact then starts working agian so light comes on and off, start with that good luck.

All Wheel Drive Disabled

I would take it back to place where it was repaired, it is possible that the part they replace is defective..

Also they should have clear all codes in the system at that time!!!

My code reader tells me that the front wheel speed sensor is bad on my 05 chevy uplander. How hard is it to replace that can I do it myself or do i need to take it to the shop for that?

The OBDII reader doesn't necessarily indicate if the sensor is bad. It simply indicates that there is a malfunction somewhere with that particular sensor circuit. It is possible (especially in winter road salt areas) the sensor is good but its wiring connector is dirty or corroded, needing cleaning/exercising with a spray cleaner. Don't spend money on a sensor unless it's actually bad.
