SOURCE: Problem with AC, dual climate zones

The temperature blend door on the driver's side might be broken or stuck. Also, if this vehicle does not have the correct amount of refrigerant, it will do what you are describing.

SOURCE: Blows A/C out of Drivers Side, and Heat out of Passenger Side

It is the climate control under the passenger part of the dash. it is easy to fix any way it was for me on my 99 deville. Take the cover off and you should see the controller just about under the clove box it is about 3" X 3" has a rod connected to it and a electric connection on the top and 3 little screws holding it on. Just unscrew the screws and unplug the electric connection and unhook the rod.
Just ask for the climate control switch at the Cadillac Dealer the cost is about $160.

I just replaced a a/c heater blower motor resistor and now I have hot air on drivers side and cold air on passengers side and in the rear. .

Sounds like driver side blend door is not functioning, either actuator bad or door has broken, remove actuator see if door moves freely, if door moves freely test actuator, leave out and connect wiring, move controls from cold to hot see if actuator moves.

I assume this truck has daul zone heating and a/c, the air blows but is not hot? if this is the case then you may have dissconnected the blend door actuator or it just went bad. this is common that the actuator goes bad,
there are two seperate actuators that control the hot/cold door in the heater box this way the passenger and driver can set there on temp.
the actuator for the drivers side is locted on the drivers side under the dash on heater box, the blower is on the passenger side , you can check connections but i do not think it is that but rather the actuator.

Heater only blows hot air thru one vent - all other vents blow cold air

This is my best guess with out knowing the year of the vehicle.
If you have a climate control system, ( driver's side, and passenger side heat & a/c setting ), you likely have an issue with the blend door being stuck, or a bad actuater, ( this moves the blend door )

If you do not have a climate control system, you likely have a trap/flapper door sticking, or some blockage in the duct work.

I hope this helps you.
