I have a 2004 dodge Stratus ES 6 cyc and I get an oil light after the car warms up and it only happens when I stop. We have replaced oil pressure switch as it was leaking and the diagnostics at the dealership pointed to the switch but i still have the problem.

I found over 400 people with the same problem the dealership has replaced the oil sending unit, the oil pressure switch (it was leaking like a sive) according to the dealership the pressure is fine the engine is running fine. No drop off when the light comes on, the light flickers or stays on and goes off when you give it gas. I dont want to pay them as they tried to overcharge me on the switch and the sending unit. In the cold weather the car is fine no light, went all winter without the light the warm weather hits and there it is. I ask what is next and the service manager just scratches his head. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Sorry 64000 miles
Have your actual oil pressure checked with an external gauge...It could actually have a pressure problem.
how many miles does it have?
sometimes low oil pressure is involved with a lot of causes.....
wrong oil.....clogged oil pick up screen....clogged oil passages.....and soo on......
i think that you might get the warming becasue as you slow down the engines RPMs drop too thus the engine is not generating enough pressure.........
sometimes if the pressure get real low...or does not rise after a couple of seconds the engine could seize.....gone forever....
