Question about 2005 Mazda 6
While driving my 2005 mazda 6 my car lost powe and died. Tried to restart but would not. Had it towed to repair shop who told me cam sensor was bad according to diagnostics test. They replaced it BUT still doesn't start. They now say it's the computer. Dealer item would cost more than $700.00 and used would be a little over $200.00; however dealer service dept. said the used one would not work without Dealer programing it for another $200.00+. First of all why would computer die at only 58,000 miles and second will the dealer really have to reprogram compter or just trying to make money.
I would check your alternator if it just lost power while you were driving
