Which engine? On a 4.0, it's on the end of the fuel rail. one bolt holds it on. All you need is a wrench.

I have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo and it starts for a few seconds and then turns off

Start Testing

Check fuel pressure with a gauge at engine
KO/EO

You have to determine what you have or what your loosing

Spark or Fuel etc

Most likely going to need wiring diagrams to learn the system
you need to test

WARNING To prevent spring pressure release, hold the regulator housing against the throttle body while removing the mounting screws.

  2. Disassemble the pressure regulator assembly. Note the location of the components for reassembly. Discard the gasket.

Which fuse is for the fuel pump on a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo /am trying to change out the fuel filter

If you are replacing the filter, why do you want to mess with the fuse? The pump will not pump unless the key is turned on. Even with the system off, there may be a small amount of pressure in the line. Just wrap a rag around the fitting before removing it so nothing sprays in your face.If you have another problem that you did not specify, just ask.
Good luck

I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo its getting to much gas. It is very hard too get started. Once started it runs just fine. I've changed the fuel pump and filter. Crankshaft position sensor throttle...

The computer is releasing to much gas into the chamber. It something you'll have to get the computer to re-learn, or update it at the dealership. Only someone/company with a Tech2 can do as it connects to your cars computer (ECM) and once in there you can select the option to watch/measure or less / plus the fuel consumption.

1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo ... no spark and no fuel pressure

sounds like your crankshaft position sensor has failed it is located on the bellhousing and has a thick black lead off it with a three wire plug, also it should have 1 ten mm bolt holding it in place, this provides an impulse signal for spark and fuel injector pulse and the car wont run without it -jeff ps please rate and goodluck http://www.autopart.com/CrankSensor/CrankSensor1992JEEPCHEROKEE.htm this is also a suspect part but my money is on the crank sensor, this part is this camshaft sensor located in the distributer and will not kill the fuel in most cases just spark http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?catalog=301&partnum=C1929&a=FR301-C1929
