You will need to do a fuel pump pressure check. You will need to borrow a gauge or purchase one ($40 to $50), attach it to the fuel injector rail test port, it will have a little black cap on it, turn the key to the run position. Your fuel pressure should be in the range of 45 to 55 lbs.

The knocking noise is a little peculiar, check the engine oil for proper level and smell the dip stick. It may smell like gas, if it does, change the oil immediately. The gasoline has diluted the oil and is to thin, causing the knock.
Let me know.

If that is the case, you will want to track down that leak as soon as possible, do not drive the car or try to run it for any extended period of time.

If the fuel line is damaged, the pressure check will confirm it.

    Good luck, let me know.

2007 Jeep Patriot check engine light flashing running rough

The flashing light is telling the driver the problem is serious enough to damage the catalytic converter.
You need to get the computer checked for trouble codes to proceed with testing.

Flash in check engine light

More information needed. You say check engine light.... Well turn key on and wait for the flashes count them , should be a 2 digit code that will repeat. Otherwise hook an OBD2 to it to retrieve codes.

2003 Saturn LW200 won't idle runs fine as long as you have your foot on the gas. No engine light coming on so don't know if it is a sensor. Any ideas.

Only things that would cause that are, most likely, the Idle Air controller, the Throttle Position sensor, or possibly a vacuum leak. If it continues, you will get a check engine light eventually.

My car has been running perfectly since I got it. I got a full service oil change done on it less than a week before the incident. I fill up the tank and went to pull out from the gas station and the car...

You may have gotten bad gas. The tanks have sediment and water and whatever in the bottom at the service stations, if the gas was being dumped in the tanks during your fillup or shortly before, water may have been pumped into your gas tank. You cannot compress water in your engine as it will not burn, once the water clears your engine you should be fine with no permanent problems, change gas stations immediatly and maybe use a gas dryer additive to help remove any water that may still be in the tank.
