Question about 1985 Chevrolet Sportvan G30
My G30 based Winnebago has an LPG conversion. It runs fine on LPG but on gas (petrol) the engine runs on for a few seconds after switching off followed by a loud explosion in the exhaust system. It also ticks over erratically - usually too fast.
Have the same sort of conversion on the same g30 warrior need to alter the timeing slightly this cured it on mine can only get it somewhere near as timeing is diff for the 2 types of fuel

Do you shut the propane off before turning on the gas ? try turning the propane off and start the MH on gas .. The mixture of the two is whats causing the problem .. Also you need to run it on gas frequently to keep the carb wet so it wont dry up .. it might be already dried up if you run it on propane alot . might be needin a kit in it.. thanks and holler if you need more Jerry
