You need specail radio removal tools. they spread 4 spring clips.

  1. Remove the radio chassis.
  2. Insert Radio Removing Tool into the radio face plate and release the radio retaining clips.
  3. Pull outward on Radio Removing Tool to remove the radio chassis from the instrument panel.

Insructions on how to install a radio in a 2001 murcury mountaineer

You need special tools to remove the stock radio. Looks like an allen wrench bent into a U shape. Fits into the two holes on both sides of the front of the radio. Then its just a matter of connecting the new radio to old harness. Easier if you have an adapter from Crutchfield or another company.

Need to know how to put an oil pump in to a 1998 murcary mountaineer its a 5.0

You will have to remove the engine to do this as there is no room to do it while engine is in the truck. It requires you to remove the oil pan to replace the oil pump.

The Radio Fuse is located in cavity 29, 15AMP.

My 1998 mercury mountaineer over heated back filled the overflow

you need to make sure your cooling fans and relays
are working, remove the thermostat and try just in case yours got stuck closed,if it remains ok,then install a new thermostat

Unfortunately that is an LCD light controlled unit. It will need replacing.

How do you remove the dashboard off of a 2007 Lincoln Town car? I have to replace the analog clock bulb .

assuming you are talking about the dash cover... they just pop on/off except by the radio and ashtray there are a few bolts/screws

however, to actually remove the dash is a lot more detailed

The display on the factory dual media audio system does work.

older radios had a bulb you could replace, pre-1990

however, now the displays are true LCD and the radio will need replacing
