Don't know cost, but have you tired just retorquing (tightening) the oil pan bolts?

Sometimes this will stop a slow gasket-leak.

98 isuzu trooper leaks a/t fluid

No, but take rags and wipe off all the oil. Leave the skid plates off for the time being. Use jack stands or blocks to raise car so you can be under it. You need to run the engine so the transmission pump is working, then you will probably see where the oil is leaking from-possibly the pan gasket, maybe that component on the oil pan, or check if it is coming from higher up and collecting on the pan. Hope you find it. Pan gaskets are very easy to change. But you will have to replace the transmission fluid, as about 6-8 quarts will drain when you remove the pan. If you have to change the gasket, might as well change the transm. fluid filter as well-it's right underneath the pan, in most cases.

I changed my oil less than a month ago on my 1996 Jetta GL 2.0 and since then the oil they put had leaked out completely. I bought my own oil and just filled it up and it leaked out again. I took it today...

Hi
It sounds like the sump gasket is leaking, this can happen over time and with a car of this age is not unusual, the gasket should cost no more than say £10 GBP and labour would be about 1 hour max.

Hope this helps

I NEED TO CHANGE TRANSMISSION FILTER AND FLUID. THE PAN IS LEAKING AND WONT STOM BY TIGHTENING THE SCREWS. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

The pan needs to be removed to change the filter. Use a large pan to catch the oil and remove the pan bolts slowly or you will have a big mess. After you have replaced the filter, Clean and reinstall the pan using a new gasket. This should stop the leak if the old gasket was bad. Dont over tighten the bolts. Measure the oil drained and install the same amount of new fluid through the trans dip stick. Start the engine and shift through all the gears with brake on. Check fluid and add if necessary. Not a bad job, just a little messy..

My 1992 isuzu trooper is leaking oil .it appears to be coming from top passenger corner of oil pan.however oil has coated parts to rear and above oil pan.oil leak is slow.could this be oil pump.what are...

clean your engine and look very carefully where the oil leak really come from, the cause why this leak happen, the engine was shutdown while the engine temperature is hot. usually the leak will come from the turbo. the engine must be idle for 3-5min before shutting off.
