Question about 1985 Chevrolet Camaro

Loud noise sometimes ocurs when excelerating or braking. sounds like metal draging , but it is not.

SOMETIMES WHEN DRIVING AND EXCELERATING, OR BRAKING...I HEAR A LOUD SOUND THAT SOUNDS LIKE METAL DRAGING, OR ALUMINIUM CANS BEING SMASHED. THERE IS NOTHING DRAGING. WE HAVE CHECKED, I HAD SOMEONE EXCELLERATE WHILE IN PARK, AND IT WILL MAKE THE SAME NOISE WHILE SITTING STILL. IT SEEMS TO BE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT AREA.

Check you e brake adjuster it's draging on your drive shaft. the same thing happened to mine and there was a recall on the adjuster because they kept falling off and draging on the drive shaft. try driving the car and slowly pull up on the e brake the sound should go away because it pulls the cable and lifts it of your drive shaft.

Is the car stick shift or auto. Sound like a problem with either the transmission which is spinning all the time even when sat still. Or the Rear axel is tuffed out..

Does it make a thudding sond on the shifter....Frist off is it 6-speed or auto, and is it a 5.7/z28/ss or base model...Could be rear tranny mount which is located on the crossmember of the car...If you put it in drive hold your foot firmly on the brake and accel, slowly only to about 2krpms, have a friend look under the middle of your car and watch for the trannie to buckle up towards the back half shaft.....Get back at me with this info..I own 7 camaros, i can def help you w/ this....

Whats making my 1999 mercury sable make a loud roaring sound while driving? and sometimes it stalls when stopping or slowing down.

Used tires sometimes are used for a reason. Also make sure your brakes are releasing completely (especially the emergency brake)...sometimes over-tightening wheels on to the disc brakes can cause excessive noise.

My 2001 mazda tribute is making a whistle sound, when it's sitting still. Either at a red light, or in park, but wen I'm driving or excelerating it goes away

loose or worn out serpentine belt. just replace and noise should go away. even better buy a can of serpentine belt dressing and spray on belt............noise should be eliminated.

The abs lighton my 2000 mercury mystique comes on and the brakes make loud noise

The noise you hear from the brakes? is it a scraping grinding noise? if so your metal to metal on one or more of your wheels and that can cause the ABS to mal-funtion. If the brakes are good then it sounds like the ABS module is failing. I wouldn't remove the fuse because other systems may be relying on that fuse to work. Find the ABS module and dis-connect it. To find out more information on your ABS system go to your local library.

Why does my 2009 Pontiac G6 GT that make an exhaust noise under the hood when i accelerate

Sounds like you have an exhaust manifold leak. Sure if this just happens when you accelerate or is it constant but more noticeable when accelerating>

I hear a loud metal on metal noise when i drive over 15 mph from my front tire and sometimes feel vibration under drivers left foot

That sounds like your brake caliper has engaged on the front drivers side and not releasing which has eaten up your brake pads. Suggest you pull the hub and brake pad out and check whether the piston is retracking as it should.

When turning right or left and excelerating I get a noise in the rear until the car returns to a straight path.

That is a classic differential sound. But it may be sort of normal if you have a limited slip differential. I would not expect it to be very loud though, unless there was a problem. Being so new, I find it hard to suggest though. One way to be more sure is to only jack up one rear wheel. Then you will hear it at its worst. If it sounds rough, like bearing noise, then drain the differential and look for metal shavings. At least change the oil.
