My 1999 1500 LS pick up with 350 engine has the battery light coming on when very humid or after a lot of rain. Also, sometimes but not always acts like it doesn't want to start...but on second or third try starts fine. Battery light goes out after warming or humidity is lower. Volt meter has bounced around some, but then stabilizes where it should be. I have had it act like a dead battery on first try and then start like nothing is wrong...driving me crazy!!

Make sure all your battery connections are clean. take them off the battery and clean them and the posts on the battery .. also check the ground from the battery to the block and make sure its tight .. also check to see if the cable is tight on the starter when the engine is cold.. then check the back of the alternator to see if that positive line is tight on the alternator .. holler if you need more Jerry
