I have a 2001 chevy tahoe wont start

I have a 2001 chevy tahoe with 176,000 miles, i was driving the other day as usual and all of a sudden my truck bogged out (died) as if i was out of gas. i spent an hour trying to start it and then finally was able to catch an idle barley getting me accross the street (bogging) to a gas station. i had planty of gas, oil was just above add indicator 2nd circle above add, i took battery to get checked and read it was completly dead, changed it out and still nothing, every once in awhile since then i attempt to start truck and sometimes able catch a quick start low idle boggs out and dies. battery volts shows just above 9 when key is in even with new battery that i got after the other one was said to be dead, i do remember before all of this battery was in the middle now not more towards 9 please help

Have a friend listen for the pump to come on. if it does probably a clogged filter. if the pupm does not come buy some starting fluid . open the air intake for the air filter. spray some starting fluid into the intake and see if it starts. if so you have a feul delivery problem. most likely the pump

Could be as simple as a dirty fuel filter. or maybe the fuel pump has died..i will go with the fuel filter since you were able to get it started again.. also when replacing your fuel filter you should go ahead and get new plugs and wires.. a small tune up wouldnt hurt and would only set you back 100.00 dollers maybe.. hope this helps

The torque converter clutch issue, won't effect the
shifting issues

I would stop using it,unless your prepared to
completely rebuild it, in a few weeks.

It has to be diagnosed and resolved, now, quickly.

Having once owned a trans shop, I don't like the
fact your driving it at all, hung shifts for 7 miles
will do it in

My 2001 tahoe dies while idling in park. After waiting over night it started and ran fine until allowed to idle in park for a short time. This a 2001 Chevy Tahoe with a 5.3 liter engine and 160,000 miles.

If the only problem is idle and it runs grat above ide then the most likely component is the Idle Air Control valve. This is providing you have no codes stored indicating something else.

2001 Chevy Tahoe with rear a/c - rear a/c quit

It is most likely not the blower motor. Intermittent operation usually means the blower relay is failing. It should be under the hood in the main fuse box. Try that before you spend a ton of money on bigger parts. Hope this helps. Good luck.
