Actually they can seperate/come apart. when this happens the cv joint will flop around untill it gets to the point it locks up your tire. You can imagine your wheel locking up on the freeway going 70+ miles an hour. Ill draw you a little picture:

the c v joint is going on my blazer..is it still s - 2930d2cb-f9f4-4660-bbbc-a808a108395e.jpg
They can and WILL seperate locking up the tire as it flops around violently, eventually finding a spot that won't allow it to flop around anylonger. The flopping around at highway speed is enough to total out any vehicle not to mention the locking up of the wheel.

How do you remove ball joints from lower control arm on a 1996 blazer s10 4x4(driver/front) .i went to salvage yard and removed but had to buy both arms, nuckle and tie rod. could not separate

By the time you drive the ball joints out of the control arms, they will not be worth driving back in and using, these parts need to be new,the used ones are worn also.

Suspension creaks when going over bumps also a poping noise when starting out driving.

Most likely shocks and or sway bar link kits. Check those items and all ball joints. I highly recommend Moog ball joints and sway bar link kits and Monroe Sensa Trac shocks

1999 Chevy Blazer makes noise

Check your driveshaft universal joint (u joint). When the needle bearings go, this is the sound it makes. To check, chock all wheels front and rear, put in neutral, if 4x4, put 4x4 in neutral also, go under vehicle, grab driveshaft at u joint and try to turn back and forth, watching for play, wobble in u joint. U should be able to see it. Let me know how u do.

Shaking at highway speeds.

As for your shaking at highway speeds, providing your tires have been balanced properly, it's probably a u-joint. If you let off the gas when it's vibrating, and the vibration quits immediatly, it's a u-joint. If it doesn't, it's a tire or wheel.
The squeak is probably a shock, but that would be a guess.
