SOURCE: 2004 VW New Beetle Stalling

Sorry to say but you and I are in the same boat. The 2004 Beetle Convertible is the biggest piece of **** on the road! My wife and I have had one, pre-certified mind you, since 2005. We have had THOUSANDS of dollars of work done to this car, mainly covered by warranty. We attempted to have this problem fixed by out local VW Dealer. It is one of three things... 1) It's a vacuum problem. All of the vacuum hoses need to be replaced. I wouldn't do this since our dealer did this for us (400 bucks) and nothing changed, same problem occurred after we had all the work done. 2) It is the ignition coil (800 price installed with new wires and plugs from the dealer) 3) It's the fuel pump... This came from the service advisor at the dealership. I sincerely hope you got the extended warranty!!! Good luck...

2013 Jetta Hybrid shows a Hybrid Malfunction alert. After opening the gas tank and closing it the Hybrid Malfunction notification went away and the check engine light came on. Any ideas on this issue?

Got to Auto Parts store and they should - for FREE - check the codes. Or buy an OBD2 / OBDII scanner for $20 @ Walmart and check it yourself. 'We' must know the code(s) to assist. Good luck.

2004 Jetta sedan, 1.8 TDI, about 38000 miles, manual transmission. Always use premium gas (91 octane or above) from name-brand stations. Last serviced in Oct 2010 -- oil change, new tires, new brakes...

You use premium gas in a TDI? Run that by me again? A TDI is a diesel engine car. What don't I understand here? I'm not being a smart __s but this just does not make sense. If you have put gasoline in a TDI, DO NOT DRIVE IT. Tow it to a dealer.

I purchased a 2007 VW Jetta, Wolfsburg Edition yesterday and it didn't have a service manual in the glovebox. There are a couple of things lit up on the instrument panel and I want to know what they are....

Check this link: http://www.vwserviceandparts.com/service/volkswagen-dashboard-indicator-lights/

Click on the ones you have lit up and it will tell you what they are.

Just got new tires on our 2007 jetta and the tire

you will need to go to the place and have the scan the tire monitor computer to see what codes you have. they may have broke one or more of the sensors in the tire that are very expensive. if they don't have the correct machine/scanner then you will need to find a shop that does and you will no more then

How to change the fuel filter (that is under the back seat) of a 2001 Volkswagon Jetta Wolfsberg Edition.

The fuel filter for a diesel engine (Tdi) is in the engine bay, a little behind the front right headlamp. The only thing under the back seat is a circular plastic access panel, which when removed gives you access to the fuel pump.

Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL)

I had the samething happen to my Jetta. I took it to the dealer and nothing was wrong.
I would think it's safe to drive until Monday when the VW shop opens.
