Question about Ford Expedition

I have a 97 Ford Expidition, Recently back from a 8 month deployment in Iraq. Before I left I had a problem with the spark plug that popped out so it sat until I got back. I had that problem fixed and everything was fine. Well I deceided to replace my windsheild because it had cracks going from the right side to the left side and up and down, When I went to pick up the expidition I had noticed that the door chime was on and the key wasn't in the ignition. As I was driving home I noticed that the Air Bag light was on. I called the windshield place and the assured me that they did nothing to the car except for what I paid for, A new windsheild. That night I was driving home and my headlights were going dim, and the instrament panel started to light up and go crazy. I finally got home and turned the car off. I tried to start it again, but it was dead. I was going to buy a new battery and altenator, but decided to have them tested first, good thing cause they both tested good, now I am lost, where do I go from here?

Did you have starter tested could be getting a draw through starter or could be a voltage regulator. or even a short somewhere in between

Thank you for your service to our country ... OK under the hood there is a Fuse box .... grab your owners manual this will help you locate it. It sounds to me that you have a MAXI fuse blown ... check the alternator fuse, check them all. make sure they are in the correct location ... I am assuming because you heard a key chime that the lights may have been left on and no-one noticed, because it is off now, right? I'm also assuming that at some point they or you jump started it and maybe something went wrong during this process and it blew one of the main fuses .. likely the ALT fuse ... and that is why the battery is going dead whilst driving and the airbag light may be on due to that too .. check all the fuses, a test lamp is suggested ..

I blew out the #3 spark plug on a 97 ford expidition with the 5.4 motor. I took it to a shop and they tapped it and put in a plug, it would not seal and the plug hit the clyinder they pulled the plug and...

That shop is responsible for any damage outside of the fix. If the plug hit the piston severe damage may have resulted. Use a magnet to try to remove the broken zerk. Make sure you are using the correct plug.
