2001 volkswagon beetle

Was driving the beetle around today, went and got gas came home turned car off and decided i needed to leave again and car would not start back up. All the lights work and everything but car would not start.

If it won't start, take off the battery cable connections and clean the +/- posts with a wire brush or sandpaper. Then re-attach the cables. If the lights, windows, radio are working, then this is probably your problem.
