I have a 2001 BMW 325i sedan, I blew the lighter fuse and when I went to go check the fuses I forgot where to put one of the fuses i was checking, now the motor turnes but the car doesnt start. Where can I find the diagarm for these fuses.

- I looked in the owners manual and it only tells me where the fuse box is, its says that it also has a reference to the coresponding equipment, but when I looked all I saw was a series of numbers 1 through 71. but it doesnt tell me what equipment the fuse is for.

- Ok so I just put a 20 amp fuse into slot 45? 46? I think that was the fuel pump fuse, anyways the car started. So now Im where I started with the lighter fuse, i still dnt know where the fuse for that thing is. I appreciate the help

what is the amperage of the fuse in question. give me the numbers (1-78) of all vacant slots, and i'll get you figured out.

The owner's manual should tell you the location of the fuses, check based on the amperage, and use trial and error to solve it... otherwise, tell me the amperage, and we can try and work our way through it with some diagrams i have.

You might be able to find something on www.realoem.com but other than that the fusebox cover should have all the information right on it, or in your owners manual. are there fuses in every slot? These cars are very touchy when it comes to electrical. if you get all the fuses in and it still doesn start try a "hard reset" which consists of removing the battery, and connecting the positive and negative cable (the ones in the car) together (DO NOT LEAVE ANY PART OF THE BATTERY HOOKED TO THE CAR, YOU ARE CONNECTING THE DEAD CABLES WITH NO PWER ATTACHED TO THEM) leave it like that for an hour or two then hook back up the battery.
