What speed?
In the trunk area?
Around the rear doors?
Only in crosswinds? Sometimes the antenna makes a whistle noise in cross winds at 50 plus mph.

Get a roll f 2 inch masking tape, and tape off areas one at a time and test drive.

I have got a mercury grand marquis 2003 LS ultimate and having a knocking noise for few seconds when accelerating sometimes specially when the engine is hot and that will reduce the power. any ideas?

When you say the engine is hot are you talking about the normal operating temperature? Has the Check Engine or Service Engine light come? If so, was the On Board Diagnostics system checked for a codes? Usually a knocking sound during acceleration indicates a improper fuel mixture or low octane.

Have a chirping sound on drivers side of car while driving, sounds like its coming from either front or rear tire area. its a 2000 mercury grand marquis.

front or rear? thats a big area to narrow it down to. I would suspect the universal joints to "chirp" it may make more noise backwards or forwards.

Air only comes out thru defrost but when you let let go of the accelator it starts to come out thru the vents 2003 mercury grand marquis

It sounds like a vacumn problem. When the heater controls loose vacumn it defaults to the defrost position. When your car decels your engine vacumn is at its highest. Check your vacumn lines for damage. Check the control panel for a vacumn leak. If you take out the controls and hear a suction noise than the control switch is leaking.

There is a vibration noise in the driver's side of the dash of my 2000 grand marquis. It starts at about 55mph and is annoying. What could it be?

It could be a wide range of things. If it is coming from the passenger compartment then I would start poking around at the interior and seeing if you can get it to stop. Just simply follow your ears and they will tell you everything.

Whistling sound coming from the rear when car is in motion.

If the whistling changes when applying brakes it is just your warning indicator letting you know that the pads are getting very thin.
You did not give a more detailed description so I hope this helps.

I have a 2003 mercury marquis. Both rear hubs

If you have the caliper and retaining rings off the park brake must be holding it. This vehicle has small parking brake shoes that apply to the inside of rotor hat. Try backing off the adjustment and tap the sides of the hat to free them up.
