Could be your starter relay, neutral safety switch, or if you have an alarm system that could also keep it from starting with the ignition switch. those would be the 1st things id check

Ignition switch wire connection. Could be bad connection to Starter solenoid or the solenoid itself.

Car wont start

If battery is good, and you have a solid clean connection of the negative and positive, and car will not turn over, the next check would be the starter.. You can check if the starter is good by jumping the small wire (Solenoid) to the large wire on the starter. Just briefly touch the two together with a short piece of wire. If the starter roll, then you have a problem with the ignition circuit.. The starter will have a large lead running directly from the battery, what activates it is when you turn the key and the solenoid engages and make the two connect. When you jump the two you are bypassing the ignition key circuit and solenoid
Could also be a bad solenoid, this is usually the first to go bad on a starter and can be changed.. .

92 firebird wont crank, tried everything nothing

It could still be the security system. The resistors only bypass the key and ignition. If your Theft Deterrent Module is bad, the security light may not turn on, and the car will not start. You can bypass this.

Where is the solenoid switch located?

Engine side of the master cylinder you'll see a round 4pin connector with a flat top open it and make sure your connections are good

2000 Buick Century wont start, new ignition switch with new keys and both used to work (replaced several months ago). Neither key will start the car. Seems like the security system. Been sitting for 2...

Had similar problem on my Mother's '01 Impala. Try cycling the remote keyfob between "lock and Unlock" several times and see if this lets it start.

From what I've gathered, this has been a significant source of irritation to GM owners from about '00 thru '03 model years.

Good Luck!!!

Dodge Intrepid 1998 2.7 V6. Won't start. you turn ignition key, it send power but not rich the starter. No ground on under hood fuse box. I did bypass to fuel pump, TCM shoot down and automatic shoot down...

make sure you have spark, sometimes if you start bypassing stuff the ignition works only on a resistor to much electricity and it won't work, not enough and it won't work.

Engine wont turn over with key, not getting enough gas to run.

Have the key and ignition checked! I am assuming that the key has a security chip on it, Right? If so, re-program key at dealership, and if that alone doesn't work, have them check both the key and column.
