1 Answer

92 honda accord Has gas Started and died like ran out of gas. Car was running. I was putting on my seat belt. The car died. Tried to start it again. Nothing. Pushed accelerator to floor, it started again and then immediately died. Waited about 2 hours tried to start again. wouldn't crank. patted accelerator and held to floor. car started. kept giving it gas. pressed on brake while putting it into gear so I could take off. Got home, but don't know it I will have the same problem again. This is the first time my car did not crank immediately when I turned the key. Why?

92 honda accord. started then died all check engine light came on. Restarted car engine light went out. what could be wrong

if it is running ok now and no check eng light on.... you are fine. It most likely a minor glitch like water in the gas that caused a stall and set off check light. not to worry...if no check light...you are good to go.....

A bad EGR valve could cause your car to experience hard starting, a rough idle, cruise control surges, popping noises from the exhaust, backfiring and sudden engine stops with cold weather or after deceleration.

92 honda accord ex wagon wont start

If you are sure you are getting fuel, this could be a problem with the ignition coil or ignitor. Sometimes when they start to go you get an intermittent problem like this, These parts aren't too expensive and they shouldn't be too difficult for you to replace. You can also check if rotating the distributor to adjust the timing makes any difference.

Recheck those cable connections. Gotta be a loose wire or battery cable connection. Especially when you get nothing when you put key in ignition.
