2000 nissan maxima low beams (both) failed, high beams and fogs both work. What may be cause and solution?

Check fuse panel as well as power distribution under hood , it may be on a separate fuse.

Check the headlight plug first, see if you have 12 volts and a ground when the head light is turned on. You may just have a burned headlight connector.

dont buy any harness or module etc.
It is just because the bulb holder as burnt off............please get it changed will cost u very less

My nissan maxima's headlights go fine on dip and full but when you put them on high beam they just cut off completely any ideas on how to fix this???


Have you replaced the lamps? Most car headlamps have separate elements for low beam and high beam. If both elements are broken, there's your answer. I believe also that the high beams are on a separate fuse to the low beams, so check your fuses to make sure it hasn't blown. Hope this helps!

CHECK FUSE TO TURN SIGNAL OR COMBINATION SWITCH.IF FUSE GOOD PROBLEM COULD BE IN COMBINATION SWITCH.

could be the switch. did you do anything to the switch when you changedheadlamps? maybe you put the lamp in incorrectly also did the brights work on the lamp that was "burned out"?
