Question about 2000 Dodge Durango
Yesterday after we stopped our 2000 dodge durango didnt want to go it revved up but it was like it didnt want to shift but once it goes there is no more problems until you try to take off again it also does it in reverse we were told by a mechanic that it could be the pump but another said probly a sensor were so confused it also stalls at lights occasionaly we replaced the trottle sensor we were told to do but it is doing it again can that sensor go bad in a month?
With my personal experience that I have in all the vehicles with similar problems the solution is the same. Transmission tune-up believe me, the fluid is low or the filter is clogged and the fluid has lost its lubricity that's all. Do not get convinced you need a new transmission or some other sensor. Its more economic to give it a tune-up before assuming anything else is wrong with the vehicle. Check my advice on a trans tune-up. If you already replaced sensors and messed with whatever else once you do the tune-up it might not be as new. Because things that affect the transmission were tampered with. But after the tune-up you will be able to drive it with no worries. First off all check the trans fluid level, if low find the leak, repair it if any then do the tune-up. If the fluid is low and you find red oil underneath the radiator, engine or transmission let me know.
