What you are doing is right but on the rare occasion that you get one that is tight you need a good sturdy jemmy bar and a good smack with a lump hammer

How to remove inner CV joint on a 2005 kia amanti

To remove an inner CV joint, you must remove the entire half-shaft from the vehicle. Here is the procedure:

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:

Front wheel Spindle nut Lower ball joint from the knuckle
  3. Press the stub shaft out of the hub, use a plaster hammer if necessary.
  4. If removing the left side halfshaft:
    1. Using a suitable pry bar, pry the inner joint out of the transaxle.
  5. If removing the right side halfshaft:
    1. Using a suitable pry bar, pry the inner joint out of the center bearing bracket.
    2. Remove the center bearing bracket mounting bolts.
    3. Using a suitable pry bar, pry the center bearing bracket from the cylinder block.
    4. Remove the inner shaft from the transaxle.

The individual joints CAN be replaced, but this requires disassembly of the half-shaft by cutting the clamps that hold the boots and frankly is a greasy mess. Remanufactured half-shafts are available for less than $100 USD and are already assembled for immediate installation.

How to remove inner cv joint on a 1988 opel kadette

a round c clip holds the joint in the box. Use a pry bar or short crow bar with flat end wedge it between the joint and gearbox casing to pry it out. Or if the cv joint casing has a ridge on it rest the pry bar securely against it and hammer the pry bar to pop it out.

Removing right front axle inner cv from diff does it just leaver out

The inner joint (the one in the transmission) has a retaining clip which makes it a little difficult to remove the axle. The easiest way to get it out is to place a pry bar in between the inner cv joint and the transmission (see diagram)nvannoy_1.jpg

I cannot get the cv joint out. how is the inner joint disassembled. I pulled on the joint and the joint extended and now will not go back in. I am assuming I can disconnect the inner join so I can...

Ok to get the inner joint out you need to stick a pry bar in between the transmission and the inner cv joint. When you pulled the joint to remove the axle the bearing in the joint came out of position. You can put it back by pushing it into place.
