Toyota Camry 1991 door light stays on

Toyota Camry 1991 Ultima
I had a flat battery because the door lights stay on. I slammed each door but it doesnt go off. I looked at the manual and the fuse (no.5- Dome 7.5A)that is suppose to control the interior lights, personal lights, trunk room light ignition switch, clock and open door warning light has a black plastic fuse in it so in a sense it doesnt have a fuse.
At the moment I am disconnecting the car battery, but how can I fix this?
The warning light for the trunk door of my 2002 Kia Optima stays on all the time. It's running my battery down, but the battery still tests good and can be easily recharged. I've had it charged 3 times to start the car, so I need to figure out how to get that warning light to go off. My garage charges a lot for any work on the electrical system, so I'd rather get rid of the warning light if that would sove the problem. door warning light stays on (also door courtesy lights) even when both doors and hatchback are shut, runs battery down

Right, that's where it is on mine too. I tried faking and unplugging the liftback sensor. Got another tip on another site to set the overhead interior light to "door" and close the liftback. If the light stays on, then it's one of the door sensors - so i tried this and sure enough it turned out to be the drivers side door sensor which is located behind the rear trim halfway down (behind the driver's seatbelt - along the door frame) I pried out the trim, and after unplugging this sensor the light went off.

You need to readjust the switch on your trunk door, or replace. To check it locate it, tape it down with duct tape and see if the light goes off. If not it's bad. If it does it means it isn't sticking out far enough to be turned off when the trunk is closed. The adjusment should be fairly obvious. If not you can simply unplug it which has the same result as turning it off.

If yours is in the same place mine was (I had a 95) Its up at the top of the hatchback and the wires plugged into the back of it. I loosened the top trim near the switch and pulled back the liner and unplugged the switch and the problem went away. Later I found out that by loosening the nut on the back side of the switch I could unscrew the switch making it stick out farther tighten the nut and rehook the wires and I had lights again.

If you look at the ignition very well, you see; Off, Acc, On, Start. Make sure the key is on the Off position then all the light will go off. I guess it is on Acc now, so try and turn it off.

Toyota Camry 1991 door light stays on

Replace the door ajar switch that is defective, short answer. But the issue here is any of the doors can cause the problem, since in order to replace this tiny switch the door panel must be removed to access the door latch the smart thing to do is have the dealer scan the BCM (body control module) and see which switch is causing the problem. Cost will be about $300.00 depending on where you live

Probably a faulty door switch. Are you familiar with what I'm talking about. Little push like switches that the doors push on as they close, usually on door post by latch end, or sometimes in jamb of door at hinge end.
