i took the car in this morning and the guy told me that the a/c compresor wasnt turning on at all, that theirs a eletrical problem. the idle goes up like it should when the a/c is turned on and when the compresor doesnt react it drops the idle, and just keeps cycling like this. does this sound right or even possible. and there is no cooling.

This is being caused by a low charge in the AC system, the idle is due to the rapid kicking on and off of the AC compressor on the engine, each time the compressor comes on the computer raises the idle and then drops it when the compressor turns off. U have no cooling right? U have a leak in the AC, have the leak fixed and then get the system re-charged.

1994 civoc had dead battery now wont play stereo

you need to check the battery and the alternator and maybe the starter too. if alternator is bad it will run the battery down. if the battery is old and not taking a charge this can happen. if the starter is going bad it will draw too much and run the battery down.what happens if you jump it be very careful about positive and negative connections a mistake here can be costly. good luck

I was told my 94 civic ex has jumped time and it has oil residue in the air filter intake it will turn over but wont start. should i junk it

Hmmmm, well the car sounds good. I would weigh the pros and cons. Look at what your going to spend to have it repaired and compare it to what it will cost you for another car that may need something down the road (like the one you already own).
If the car was on its way out then I would of said, "try again".
Well good-luck, let me know what you decided to do.

Try blowing the switch out with compressed air moving it from every position. If this fails, replace the switch. Frankster016
