Most likely it is the transfer case leaking. known problem on the AWD models. they leak right down on the exhaust and causes the burning smell. have it checked out again.

1996 maxima 02 sensor and knock sensors have both been replaced with new parts. car has been driven over 200 miles. how many miles untill system resets to pass emmissions ??

with a hand held diagnostic computer it can be done in about an hour. Drive the car as an owner it could take up to a month. It is the driving condition , not mileage that resets the ECM. You have to drive on the highway at certain speeds for a certain amount of time, then in city driving, stop and go and at certain speeds for so long. The computer guides you threw it. If you only drive city or highway you may never get it to reset.

How often should i bring my car in for maintenance after 150,000 miles?

Totally dependent upon your average driving. Highway miles would be easier then city miles. 3,000 miles routine mantaince for city miles or 3 months minimum. 5,000 miles for routine highway miles. This does not exclude you from check your tires and keeping an eye and hear on your vehicle. Pre-trip inspections are always a best bet, even with a new vehicle.

Brake pedal went out on me going about 65 on the highway, was able to pump enough to get it under control. Brake company said brakes and diaphragn were fine, needed new master cylinder. Brakes went out...

it sounds like you've got an issue with the engine vacume line going to the booster. there's an in line one way check valve that keeps vacume in the booster in case of a loss of vacume, like if your truck stalled while driving. but there should always be vacume with the engine running. so check the vacume line going to the brake booster for kinks obstructions, and leaks.

While driving at highway speeds Rodeo slows down and loses power. If you pump gas pedal car will slowly pick up speed after downshifting. Some days no problems other days this lack of power is constant....

1st check your breather pipe on the fuel tank as it could be blocked and not breathing air into tank
This will happen after filling up with fuel and untill you haved used about 1to 2 gallons.
Other wise check fuel pump for either slight air leak or filter blockage...
