1999 GMC Yukon aft door will not lock. I have

1999 GMC Yukon aft door will not lock. I have looked at the door connectors - there are five brass buttons on frame side and only four brass plates on the door side. Should there be five on both side or is the fifth button unused? Is this missing plate the cause of a lack of connection for power to lock the door?

Take some sand paper to those brass connection and get a shiny surface this is the most common fault. you didn't mention if the aft door glass has defrosting strips on the glass the possibl 5th pin is for those>

My GMC Yukon door not opening

This appears to be a fairly common problem on your vehicle 2 seperate occurences the electronic locks will not operate and also the mechanical latch not operating both resulting in an inoperative back door condition. It seems the only way to open the door is to remove back door panel and manually operate the latch mechanism and then find why it will not operate normally for instance the linkage no longer being attached to latch mechanism or electronic connector not making connection both have been found to be common in gmc yukons

I am sorry but I regret to say that doesn't have any wiring diagrams available for free downloading due to copyright laws. You can however gain access to the factory service manuals and wiring diagrams and all factory service letters at this site for a modest subscription fee I am told.

I am trying to remove rear door panel to fix door handles on my 99 yukon

There are screws in the corners of the panel. Maybe just four or five perhaps. Take them off and then you probably have plastic/foam to go through. After you take that out, you should be able to get in there, as long as the window is rolled up. Be careful taking it off and putting it back on. You need to get it on perfect.

2003 yukon 2rear doors and tailgate door wont lock manually or remotely if i tap on lock relay in fuse panel the doors will lock once and then no more, i replaced relay didnt help

Sometimes you need to look past the obvious. If it happens again, remove the fuse panel and check the wires where they join with the connectors for the relay... these are crimped connections and can easily corrode under certain conditions.
Glad you have it working again!!

Yukon xl rear door won't unlock and there is no manual lock.

I fixed mine by using fine steel wool to clean the brass contacts located at the right upper door frame on the right door as viewed from the rear of the vechicle.
