Question about 2000 Volvo S40
I just bought a 2000 Volvo S40 and one of the problems is that the headlights allow me to see only about eight feet of pavement in front of my moving car. I'm unable to drive in the night time because of this. Is this a common problem or something I can fix at home? Thanks. --Estela
There are height adjustment knobs on the back of the lamp housings you can use to adjust the height and aim of the lamps.
Due to the age of your vehicle, it is likely that they will break when you try to move them. This is very a common occurrence on S/V40 headlights; the lamps will need to be replaced if the adjusters break off, so be gentle.
