Mercury cougar 1989 Bucking problem

When i go about 55 miles per hour my car starts bucking for some reason.dont know why.

I had this problem,
the air sensor was not functioning.
cleaning it solved the problem

Check for failed EGR Valve or system component

If the valve has a vacuum hose going to it ,disconnect,
plug hose & test drive to evaluate bad valve & high vacuum
signal as you suggested

While drving my 89 towncar, its starts to break down like its bucking. Seems like a spark plug is not firing or a wire is bad. I just had it uned up about 3000miles ago and don't know what the issue is....


if you replaced your plugs and wires 3000 miles back-Check your coil (s) and change your fuel filter

A dirty fuel filter will cause your car to buck too!
