Question about 2000 Ford Escort
My diesel escort starts but then dies after a few seconds, if started with a power pack attached it runs continuosly. When it is running it runs smooth and there are no problems. Does anyone have any idea what this could be. Any help would be much appreciated
Alternator might be bad take it off and take it to an autoparts store they usally test it for free. Its obviously not getting enough power, check all the ground cables in the engine compartment. If anything try a stronger battery like Duralast Gold.
