My 1998 buick century custom when warm luggs like it has a miss. The electical on dash board are not on, still has power but luggs... please help !

first thing I would do is check all tune up components, distributor cap (worn out or cracked), rotor (worn out) , spark plugs if new check spark plug gap, spark plug wires, check engine timing. if that doesn't solve the problem check engine compression possible blown head gasket or leaking piston rings, check fuel pressure, change out fuel filter. also if your catalytic converter going bad can cause a lack of power.

I changed the a/c filter and have been trying to reset the light which says a/c filter change required but it won't reset. Can't understand why because I press reset as soon as it comes up...

All those lights etc on the right side of your dash
are not tied to anything

You don't have to change anything
or do anything. Oil,Cabin Filter etc

THEY ARE JUST GADGETS

Status does cycle
You press Reset & hold

When it says to hold, you
quickly press & hold Reset again

You can just forget all that

Doesn't do anything

You don't sit in your car &
call it up with the status button
& watch it anyway.

My 1991 6 cyl automatic Toyota sat for a year with the battery disconnected. I hooked up the battery, turned the key and did not get the engine to even cough. I charged and then tried jumping the battery...

Tina-does the car turn over, that is, does the starter turn the engine over? If so, check to make sure the MaP sensor is plugged in-it is inline with the airfilter housing and the throttle body (the tube from the air filter to the engine) andi it has a large connector-make sure that is plugged in. Next 9assuming it turns over), get some starting fluid and disconnect that tube where it goes into the engine, spray a 5 second blast into the opening (open the throttle blade by twisting the blade by the throttle cable)-button it back up, try to start it-if it runs for a couple of seconds, you have spark and the issue is fuel related. If it does nothing, check for blown fuses for the ignition under the hood in the box by the driver side headlight, or the kick panel by the driver's feet-probably a bad fuse. Get back to here and let me know what you find out, we can go from there.

I have a 2001 Malibu 3.1. Car won't start. Starter turns over, does not seem to be getting fuel. Changed the fuel filter, checked the fuel pump and it is working. Any ideas..... befuddled.

Good evening, if you just pushed in on the schrader valve to see it was pushing out gas, I would seriously recommend putting a fuel pressure gauge on it, because you can be off 10-15lbs and it will not start. Let me know how it goes, and if you had any check engine lights let me know.

Emission light is on, service light is on, missfire,

all that has nothing to do with this lights being on, you have a malfunction in the electronic engine controls, to find out what it is have the dealer test the system for trouble codes which are stored in the memeory of the cars computer whenever this light(s) comes on.

It sounds like your cabin air filter has stopped up common problem on these cars. You have to remove the glovebox to get to it. If this filter stops up, your fan will be running on high but hardly anything will come out of the vents.

About check light on dash board

You must consider the check engine light as an idiot light. There are a lot of functions that is monitored by the onboard computer system. The most common cause for the light to come on and not reset is the emission systems. If you take the car to an Advance Autos or similar parts store they will use test equipment and find out what the error code means. This is done for you at no cost. Good luck!
