GASCAP and engine light

A bad gas cap will cause the light to come on, of so replace the cap. The vent is not working if gas is coming back at you. Replace with new.

My car will not stay running

it seems you have a leak in your fuell pump.can you see many bubbles if you put the fuell line in a bottle and start.
also check air filter and gas filter.leaks in fuell pump is hardly not to see whit naked eye.thats why use a transparent bottle.

I hear a loud bang as soon as i crank my car up. the car run fine and doesn't make a sound after its running. 2000 ford focus

that means that the fuell mix ignite before the spark comes from the gets two ignitions ,you see this many times in formula,
race cars, then you see huge flames comes out.if it happens onle one time.its 99 percent ok.but if it happens regular, you need to reset the (before igniotion ) correct.

Fuel spills out when fuelling and check engine light came on.

you have a blockage somewhere in the evaporative system, that will cause fuel to spill when fuelling.
have a scan done to determine why the check engine light is on.

What is the outcome of having a broken gas filler neckon my 2001 caravan

Other than spilling gas on the ground when you are filling up, the check engine light should come on because the system is not sealed.

I smell gas fumes coming from my car when i park and turn off the ignition

normally fumes come in to vehicle when stopped because of oil leak from rocker cover but check your fuel filler cap seal etc and also incase the tank is leaking just have a sniff at the rear of the car if its the filler cap or tank filler you normally get smell when tank is nearly full and been around a few corners the fuell filler nect becomes pourous and just spills out a bit if so will need replacing .but most time its an oil leak from rocker box or engine
