How to remove inside door panel on 2002 Kia Sportage

Look up from beneath the lower edge of the panel and used something dull like a butter knife to carefully pry the panel away from the door. You should then see the plastic buttons shaft that goes into holes in the door. These can be gently pried away from the door using needle nose pliers, or a special tool made for this. Next insure you have removed all screws in arm rests and door handles. Work your way around the panel edge popping out remaining plastic fasteners and then push up from bottom of panel to unhook top edge. If you break some of the plastic fasteners, parts stores have replacements.

How do we do replace the outside manual mirror on driver's side?

The retainers for it are usually behind the inner door panel. Youtube will have videos of removing the inner panel. Not hard at all, but time consuming finding all the screws. Plastic push pins around the bottom and up the sides-can use a putty knife or thin blade screwdriver to pop them out. Lift the panel off, pull back the plastic water shield (reseal it after done), and the mirror fasteners will be visible.

How do I remove the driver door panel on a 2002 Malibu?

The door panel is held on with small plastic fasteners. Go to your local auto parts store and look in the auto body section for a trim removal tool.

If you do not want to buy the tool, you can use a flat tool of some sort.
Without the tool, you will need to buy plastic fasteners to replace the ones you ruin. (you'll need a flat prying tool at least 8 inches long and 2 inches wide)

Insert your flat prying tool in between the door panel and the door frame. Carefully work your way around the door, slowly popping the panel loose. Once you have the biggest part loose, you will have to pull up on the top and remove the rubber stripping between the window and door frame. Avoid at all cost ripping the plastic fasteners out of the door panel. You want to pull them loose from the door frame. More than likely, you will ruin several of the plastic fasteners. As I mentioned before, you can buy these at the auto parts store. I suggest taking a few with you so you can match them up with the new ones.

How do I replace the power side mirrors ( manual Fold) Driver Side and Passenger side

The small triangular shaped plastic panels that are on the inside of the window where the mirror is on the outside (closest to the front window) pop off and there are fasteners there.

How to change a sideveiw mirror on a 2003 dodge neon Drivers side

Remove the door panel & the piece of plastic covering the inside of the car where the mirror bolts to. remove the 10mm bolts & the mirror is off. Install the new one & if it's a power mirror, reconnect the wiring & put all back together. Note if you have manual windows you need a special tool you can get at any auto parts shop. This tool removes the clip for the window crank. Oh & the doorpanel pops out from the bottom, then you lift it up. Don't just pull on it!!

Replacing passenger side-view mirror on 1999 Dodge Stratus

Watched my dad do it this afternoon. There is an exposed screw on the left side of the door panel and one at the bottom of the panel. There are also two hidden screws, one behind the door handle and one inside the little hole in the armrest (pop off the plastic plugs). There are also three recessed screws behind the speaker cover. You can pop the speaker cover off with a flathead screwdriver. I'm pretty sure thats all of them. You can pop the panel off then, but watch the wires connecting stuff inside. The hardest part is getting it over the door lock. .

Once the panel is loose you have to pop off the black plastic cover hiding the back of the mirror. There are three recessed bolts holding the mirror. My dad had to get a special wrench to get those off and he dropped one inside the door, so be careful (we fastened a magnet to a coat hanger and got it back). Mine had some remote gizmos, so he had to had to unplug the little square thing and then popped off what was left of the old mirror. If your new mirror has a wire with a little box, feed it through the hole and plug it in. Once you have it positioned correctly, you can screw on the bolts and put eveything back together. It helps to have another person there while you are trying to position the mirror correctly. Hope I didn't miss anything. Good luck!

Driver side window off track

There is what is called birds beeks that hold the door panel to the door, they have a tool to pop them out at any auto parts store. You can use a screwdriver but to avoid damage to the panel its best to use the tool, there not that expensive.

Door panel removal

I replaced the passenger side mirror on my 1998 Bonneville.
(Thanks to VWmechanic for his helpful post re a 1997 Bonneville; my '98 was a little different.)
First, remove the door panel, as follows:
1. Remove hex-head screw under inside door handle.
2. Remove 10mm screw located under armrest hand grip (to get at it, pop off the piece that covers the tiny courtesy light)
3. Using a screwdriver, pry off the panel. It's held on by several plastic, pop-off fasteners.
4. Remove the plastic red lock slider under the door handle. It can be pried off the wire slider.
5. Lift up on the door panel to release the top edge. You now have access to the inside of the door.
6. To get at the two bolts holding the mirror to the sheet metal of the fender, remove the plastic shield just under the bolt location.
7. Remove/fasten the mirror bolts with a 10mm. I could reach the front bolt with an 8" socket extension, but had to use a 10mm open wrench on the back bolt.
