2003 chevy impala overheated and now no power and wont restart

The impala overheated and first i noticed that the coolant would be boiling almost close to 5 min of driving after starting . Then the coolant would not boil , and i notice that when it got hot the coolant would just be in the reservior not boiling anymore, like almost no coolant was being distributed. Well now I drove the car up the street and i lost power first when it ran hot so i was pulling over to stop and he car shut off. First I tried to restart it but it would not recrank almost like the battery was low. Well I tried to jump it , nothing worked, I pushed it out the way and now it seems like whole car is dead. Well I dont know if this caused the power issue. I left my hazards on in error but it seems like all the power is gone and the car wont even attempt to restart. please help point me in the right direction.

well as for my overheating it was doing that before the power loss. its just that everytime the car overheated i would lose power while driving and when it cooled the power would come back, the fans are out as well so i was wondering if maybe the water pump was the problem because the fans were out but the car would cool after driving it but then it stopped doing that just overheating when driving.

The overheating will not have anything to do with the lost of power for cranking or the lights not working. Try charging the Battery and start over.

Car coolant boiling but not overheating what could be the issue? In a 2006 chevy impala

How hot does the engine get in degrees F? If it is boiling the coolant is overheating. Does the radiator fan work? Check the thermostat, check coolant flow through the radiator. Could be head gasket issue? Sometimes air in the system can cause problems? Just my opinion.

My 2003 coolant is gone after i field it ad it also boiled up and running hot and cut off and have some brown stuff in my resavior but no white smoke no misfiring and no muddy oil can some one help

you may have a bad head gasket causing this to happen. don`t know where you live but if it`s in a cold area you may not notice if its has white smoke(as burning coolant in cold weather may look normal)this can cause the problems you may not burn enough to show on plugs but over time you will loose could also be a bad thermostat that has stuck closed causing overheating and boiling out. the thermostat is the cheapest thing to try then if it doesn`t fix it then have the head gasket checked out or do both at the same time

My 2003 chevy impala is overheating

Run the car with hood open for a while and monitor the fan to confirm the fan does come on when required to, maybe you have a blown fan fuse

2003 impala heater quits working sometimes and it overheats sometimes

You should have it checked out right away, before the overheating does any damage to the engine. The whole coolant system should be inspected to find the cause. It may be a simple fix, maybe not. Are you adding coolant constantly? Do your radiator fans come on when it starts to overheat?
When it gets too hot, it may be boiling coolant away, and the low coolant level will cause the heater to stop putting out heat.

my guess is the coolant is going out the tailpipe, either an intake or a head gasket leak, pull the spark plugs any light color ones indicate coolant getting into the combustion chamber

Make sure the electric fan if equipped is coming on after 10 - 15 min. of operation if not replace the fan relay. Make sure antifreeze/water is a 50/50 mixture, If the fan relay doesn't do it replace the fan if the car has no electric fan the clutch fan may be faulty if equipped.

Seem to be losing oil in coolant of 2003 impala 3.4

hello your intake gasket is most likely leaking internally into your engine.pretty common problem.the plastic and silicon gaskets get weak over time.
