How do I replace the driveshaft bearing support?

You jack up the truck, and support it on jack-stands. (no wheel must touch the ground, for safety).
Remove the two front tires for visibility.
Put the tansmission in neutral and apply the handbrake.
Get under the truck and in the area of the support-bearing, mark the position of the driveshaft to the flange, which has 4-bolts.
Remove the 4-bolts.
Pry off the driveshaft with a flat-end screwd-river.
Remove the bolts holding up the support bearing.
Drop it down and pull off the support bearing.
Reverse these procedure for installation.

I have a 1996 nissan 4x4 xe pickup with a 2.4l 4 cylinder engine. Both transmission and motor need to be replaced. Will a v-6 3000 motor and a transmission with it work in my truck? the truck that they are...

They will work but you will need to also switch out the ecm, pcm, and possibly reflash both of those computers. It would work but it will cost you an arm an a leg just to make it operational, you will also have to fabricate a new crossmember for the transmission mount so the trans will be safely mounted. My recomendation would be to go back to original and save yourself many a dollars.any other questions get back to meHOPE I COULD HELP!!!

Frame rusted thru on 1996 se v6 king cab 4x4

cutting a section off of another old frame to fix yours isn't worth it. it would be easyer to take it to a metal shop and have them fix it. at least you know that the repair will last.
