- Thanks a bunch...
I am jus chasin the problems with this car at this point....I have had a few snags on what the problem could be....Fuel pump hasn't ever been replaced....and i never thought of the tps sensor.....its jus straight cuttin out when i come to a stop, only when hot.n don't have a gauge jus a light so not sure what temp I am hittin when it is doing it...**** thank you bunchs and bunchs....Trouble chasin B
I had same problem on my 1990 lumina try and clean the TPS sensor. Also in these models after you do it you have to disconnect the battery then basically have it drive against a wall so that it cant move and leave it for about 10-15 min you cant hit the gas anything and then the fans will kick on and you have reset it. Make sure you know what you are doing and know the proper steps first tho I am sure this is your problem. What dummy lights are you referring to? Is it overheating or anything? Most likely clean the TPS and reset the computer and go from there. Thanks, Lee

- Yes that is what will happen. When the car is cold the idle is higher so that is why, then once it warms all the way up that is when you have the problem. I would try to clean that and reset the computer like i said and then go from there. If it was the fuel pump I doubt it would start at all. Thanks, lee
