OK Update I pulled the air bag and the switchs. It is working I ohmed it and the switch is made contact. Should I pull the steeringwheel and replace the clock spring or is there other checks to make? The control box on the firewall how do I need to check it?

How do I check that motor that the cable goes into? Should I be able to move the cable in and out? The cable will not move as it is now.

The button for the switch has become faulty, recommend taking to dealer to replace as for the air bag in the steering wheel can explode.

How ever if you feel you can do it at home start the car and leave it running and replace the switch. while the car is running this will help prevent the bag from exploding cause the car will be in a "safe mode".
this is a fairly simple procedure that almost anyone can do.

you are already there you might as well it would not hurt. the next actual step would be to check that the motor for the cruise is working.

you need to ohm the motor and see if the motor is with in specs and also the wires going to the motor also,

What fuse controls the dash lights on a 2003 ford focus se

That would be the dash lamp fuse! No, just kidding. If they are not labelled, just pull one at a time (key off) and check each to see which is blown. East peasey.

03 chevy z71 cruise contol problem

There are a few things you can try. First, check your
brake lights, if they do not work the problem may be
in the stoplight sw circuit. Also there are 3 fuses you
can check, 1 is a 25amp in the fuse block under the
hood the next 2 are in the fuse block under the dash.
One is the 15amp stoplight fuse and the other is a
10amp turn sig fuse. These fuses are either directly
or indirectly related to the cruise ctrl. Next check the
cruise switchs accel/coast set/resume if either sw.
was sticking in any posistion for 90 seconds or more,
the cruise ctrl. will shut down. There are trouble codes that will set but they won't trip the check engine light. You'll need an obdII scanner to recover
them from the memory. If you don't have one, go to
autozone/napa or advance auto parts they will scan it
free. The codes of interest are po571 stoplight switch
po567 and po568 the cruise ctrl switch's. And any
other codes related to the torque converter clutch -
the speed sensor - throttle actuator control.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

check all battery leads and earth straps
"" car body and engen bay straps""
also check battery terminals are tight check its full of battery water too if its been low for a time bump it!
and have a ""drop meeter test"" done on the battery if its a bad battery it should show that up first time it could have cracked plates inside the battery its self, test by turning on head lights then hit starter, if every thing go's dead!!!! put ""good jump start"" battery on to car and try it again,,, all should work just fine then,,,,it could just be a flat battery?????

Cruise control just quit working

Check fuses/relays and make sure they are all good; if so check the electrical wiring/connectors in the dash. Jeeps are notorious for loose wires in the dash.

Cruise control does not work

HI, check the fuse in the fuse box under the dash on the driver side kick panel. if the fuse is ok, this will confirm an issue that will concern the cruse control module/amplifier and, Cruise servo. these components may need to be replaced.

The power solenoid could be affected as well. inspect the entire cruise control assembly under the hood if the fuse is ok.

"Cruise" on a 5-speed '00 Hyundai Elantra

I have this same car. The place you set speed control is on the windshield wiper switch on the right side of the steering column. The button with the indicator light has to be pushed in order to use the cruise control but just because the indicator light is on, it does not mean the cruise is on. Hope this helps a little. If you need more info and someone else doesn't answer more eloquently.. I'll check back and try to give you more info. :-)
