Symptoms bad egr valve

A bad EGR valve won't always make a car die while driving. It would create a rough or low idle and possibly stall, but it should still restart. I have seen a number of crankshaft position sensor problems with these engines.

My car dies when I drive for a short time.

Check O2/mapp sensor. Also if you can elaborate on the behavior of the engine as it stalls, is there smoke, does it race then suddenly die out or does it barely run at a very slow unsteady idol until it floods out?

Answering with as much detail as possible will help get a more definite answer.
Good luck.

Car running fine. Has 160K miles. Just cuts out for no reason. Pull over starts immediately first time and off we go. Gas filter clogged? The only code P1457 was for a vapor leak. We reset that and now...

does it cut out while driving?? If it cuts out while driving does the speedometer drop to zero even if the car is moving?? try shaking the key while the engine is started and the vehicle is in park...car should die?? If yes is your answer to any of these questions, its a faulty ignition switch. There is a recall for this, call your honda dealer for info and possible replacement!! hopefully this helps

Car dies while driving

First off, check your battery terminals and posts for corrosion or any other cause of a poor connection.  If your connection to the battery is cutting out/back on rapidly it would cause exactly those symptoms.  also inspect the battery cables end to end for poor connections corrosion or breaks/tears in the insulating coating.  if that yields no answers it is probably a sensor for the ecu or the fuel delivery system.  good luck!

Car won't start

It sounds like your battery has had it! IF you can jump start it, try to go to a battery store or a service garage to have your battery and alternator checked. If no other warning lights were previously on, it is possible that the battery just up and died. Otherwise, I would suspect the alternator.
Also, make sure teh parking brake is NOT engaged while driving.

Car died while driving

it could just be a sensor malfunctioning from possibly getting too hot. as everyone knows slow traffic sucks....well its hard on the car too because the car gets alot hotter in the engine bay due to lack of air flow.....heat like that can make sensors malfunction everyonce n awhile....i wouldnt worry bout it unless it happens again...which it shouldnt.
