Question about 2005 Dodge Caravan

2005 Dodge Caravan spark plugs changed now engine trembing

I changed all six spark plugs and wires. When I went to crank the engine, there was a hesitation then the engine sounded weak. I tried to reverse and the engine began to spit and sputter and ultimately turned off. I've done the same thing before and did not have this problem.

Won't Start

Pull a spark plug wire and check for spark. Just take a spare, working spark plug and put it on a plug wire (or take a plug out of your engine), and ground the plug hex or the plug threads on a metal piece of the engine. Now the plug is grounded, so you won't get shocked when checking for spark. But just in case, wrap a heavy rag around the wire, or use a glove to hold it, and watch the spark jump the electrode while someone is cranking the engine. A good ignition system will have a blue, snapping spark. If you have no spark, check a second wire, and still nothing, then the ignition system needs checked-the coils, ignition module, and crank position sensor, and so on. An orange or yellowish spark is also a sign of ignition problems.
If you do have spark when checking, then check if fuel is reaching the engine-the schraeder valve on the fuel rail is the test port for a fuel pressure gauge. Really what you need is to check fuel pressure, but if you punch the center pin on the valve, and gas squirts out, then you know gas is up to the injectors and under some pressure.

I HAVE A 2005 DODGE CARAVAN I WAS GOING DOWN THE ROAD AND IT JUST STALLED. THE FUEL PUMP COMES ON BUT THE ENGINE DOESNT START..

If you have good fuel pressure. Check for spark at any plug while cranking, If no spark, also place a screw driver on an injector and listen to it while someone cranks it over. If you have NO spark and NO injector click - crank sensor needs to be replaced. 95%
other 5% hmmm wiring problem on / near crank or cam sensors, theft system active, dead pcm.......

How many spark plugs do a 2000 dodge caravan have

If it's a four cylinder it has four spark plugs.
If it's a six cylinder (V-6) then it has six spark plugs.
Hope this was very helpful.

96 dodge caravan 3.0 has p300 and p306 codes,

A P0306 code means that the the ECM has detected that one of the engine's cylinders is not firing properly. In this case it's cylinder #6.

A code P0306 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

Faulty spark plug or wire, Faulty coil (pack), Faulty fuel injector, Burned exhaust Valve, Poor compression, and Defective computer.

Check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the Caravan, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). The number six cylinder is the one towards the radiator and drivers side. If you are going to change all the plugs and wire keep me posted, be glad to help. Good luck and hope this helps, P0300 just means multi miss fire.

Spark plug wires

Because of the air plenum that site on top of the engine (6 cylinder) changing the spark plug wires and spark plugs is very difficult on these models. Sadly, the easiest way is to remove the air plenum on top and even the winshield wiper cowling section due to the location of the wires and plugs. If you aren't a mechanic, or have the tools, you may want to forego this task. I believe the wires and spark plugs should be changed about once every 70-80,000 miles on these models.
