How do I tighten the hand brake cable on my 94 Toyota Tercel?

First make sure the rear breaks are ajusted or replaced when worn out drum to be skeemed aswell. Usally whe rear brakes are ajusted hand break will stop car on two to four clicks on hand brake rachet. If brakes is ajusted check cables for wear . Then ajust cable insite car remove hand brake cover and you will see a ajustable screw or nut. Rememeber to put the handbrake on four clicks and dont tighten screw or nut to much the brakes will lock

2000 ford explorer linkage cable . Can it be ajusted ?

same problem with my 1998 Ford Expedition, there was a lot of free play on the shift gear handle and therefore had trouble finding the gears, all of them. I looked under the the steering wheel or steering column (by the top of the brake pedal) and found that there were two screws loose, about to fall off actually, tighten both of them up and now is as good as when I drove it off the lot. Hope this helps.

Cluth cable ajustment if equiped. Some cars have a cluth cylender if your model has the cylender no ajustment is available. If you had your cluth changed at a garage you might consider takeing it back in for ajustments. If you changed the clutch check cluth cable for ajustment if your car is equiped with cable if not i would perhaps remove the transmission and inspect clutch for loose clutch plate or release bearing might not be seated properly hope this helped you.

How do i replacen the belts on the pullys

On 1.8 engines. Loose the belt ajustment next to the power steering pump and remove the belt. There is nut holding this ajustment screw, For the one that goes into the Alternator loose the ajustment underneath the alternator, You dont have to remove any bolts on the Alternator or Power steeing pump. (To prevemt noise make sure you replace with Gates belts instead of Nissan.)

My car just had the same problem and i bought a over-drive bypass plate from IPD and now it works just fine, just put it on yesterday. My overdrive solenoid was the problem. So, instead of paying $160 for a new one, i paid $40 for the bypass plate. I drive a 91 Volvo 940 Turbo with over 250K miles and now i have my overdrive back. I think if your overdrive relay was bad, the shift light would come on on the dashboard. So it may just be your solenoid. 2005 Jeep Wrangler Emergency Brake Cable seems to be loose when pulled up, but seems to grab & hold when released?

You have to look under the car and see if the cable is broken. If it is'nt then it has to be ajusted.
