How long was the Battery Dead/OFF the vehicle?
Does it RUN for a second and QUIT ?
Does it have a Security Light and is it on or flashing sparatickly?
POSSIBLE - * The battery has been dead or off the car just long enough that the backup battery lost charge and the SECURITY SYSTEM has turned on . * The car has the DO NOT JUMP sticker and upon doing so the PCM / ECM (Computer ) got fried causing all kind of weird happenings. * The BCM(Body Control Module ) is faulty also kicking the Security System ON
FIXES - * Very Costly * 1st - Open HOOD and look next to fenders if no DO NOT JUMP sticker is present *Take car to DEALER and RESET the Security System . * If there is a DO NOT JUMP sticker then Replace the Computer (pcm/ecm) and have it flashed by dealer. * If Resetting System doesn't work Replace BODY CONTROL MODULE(BCM) it also controls the Security on your factory stereo( so if your Stereo is locked to then just change the BCM .
Hope this Helps , Flaming Ratchets Auto Repair
Try locking and unlocking with the remote or cycle the key in the drivers door lock to lock then unlock. That will usually reset the alarm.

Usually from weak,(small gauge wire) cables , improper hook-up,(backwards) or not connected good. If your vehicle has something stuck on that is drawing lots of power is a possibility too. Match them up + to +, and - to -. Do negative last.

I could very well be the TPS throttle position sensor acting up. I had a very similar situation on a 99 Concorde with the same engine in it in my shop today. Go to a shop that is able to do a data stream on the engine. What it is, is they hook up a scanner and have the ability to watch all the sensors as the car starts/runs.

With the battery charger connected or a jumper battery simply click the alarm key fob on and then off. This will reset the alarm and the car should start...had mine towed to find this out

The SAME thing is happening with my 2004 Dodge Intrepid - had it checked out, mechanic said ti was either the Solenoid Pack or Valve Body - and would cost about 300-400 for the solenoid and could be over 800 if its the valve body. I havent had it fixed yet because everyone who has the solenoid replaced says that it keeps happening...what else can I do> It's stuck in 2nd gear and wont go over 30mph!!
