Can I retrieve the radio code with the Odyssey vin number? The code is not in the glove. I do not have the manual.

No, the stereo unlock code cannot be retrieved with the VIN.

You can get the unlock code for free from any Honda Dealer. You will need to give them the stereo serial number from the back of the stereo or written on a card (or possibly the manual) provided when the vehicle was new. If the dealer removes the stereo to retrieve the serial number they will charge around $100.

DANGER: Do not try to enter the code randomly! The stereo will lock out after 10 incorrect attempts.

What do i press to start the unlock prossess on a 02 impala delco stereo cassette player

There is no "unlock process" that I am aware of. If the radio/stereo says "LOCK" on the display, it is because it is either not the original radio for the car, or it is not getting the correct VIN from the Powertrain Control Module. It "thinks" it has been stolen and installed in a different vehicle.

If you are installing a used radio from a salvage yard or something like that, it will be necessary to have the radio memory "re-flashed" with the correct VIN for the vehicle it is going into.
Your local GM dealer can do this for you, but you must produce proof that you own the vehicle and proof that shows where you got the used radio from.

Honda accord stereo lock how to unlock it

Check for a sticker with the radio code inside the glove box. Some dealers fixed a second sticker in the owners manual. If not available, get the code from a Honda dealer, and be prepared to show VIN number, and proof of vehicle ownership.

You need to call a dealer for the code, usually they'll make you bring it in so they can charge you.

It's a 'theft deterrent' system...

I have a 2002 Chevy Impala, i took out the battery to change it and the stereo is locked up now. The stereo won't even turn on. how do i unlock it?

It should be in your manuel, you can go back to the dealer and have them help you get it working again since they are always disconnecting battery's but call first. If there going to charge you a crazy amount, log on to There is a fee but it's much less then then dealer. Oh and if there was no code programed the default is 0000. Good luck and hope this helps.
